Having a companion can allow for much needed respite care for family members and gain a sense of normalcy. Supporting your loved one in many aspects of daily life can allow you to run errands such as going to the grocery store or having a spa day at the salon. Our caregivers are present to serve as a companion and build a trusting relationship and bond.
Our companions become friends. Some of the responsibilities given to the companion can include transport and accompany your loved one to events, such as church services, salon trips, extended family gatherings, trips to the cabin, etc. Companions can also remain in the home and provide cleaning, fresh cooked meals and meaningful engagement with your loved one. Outings and transportation outside of home require a vehicle of the client’s.
